I've been a ham operator since late October of 2022, and have been having a great time.

I currently do IT for a local Managed Services Provider (MSP).

I am currently a member of the Alliance Amateur Radio Club (W8LKY), Lisbon Area Amateur Radio Club (K8GQB) and the Young Amateurs Radio Club (WY4RC).

I got my start in radio after spending some time playing around with SDR using an RTL-SDR, from listening to local trunked radio, to receiving satellite weather data via APT (NOAA 15/18/19) or HRIT/EMWIN (NOAA GOES 16/17). After that, I decided to dive into the world of Amateur Radio and get my license.

Most of my HF operations have been POTA or other portable operations, as I am limited by what I can do at my apartment.
